View Into the Senses highlights eleven artists from the GW Collection, overseen by the Luther W. Brady Art Gallery. Created between 1957 through 1984, the works on paper elucidate how the first abstract expressionist movement shifted the art world’s focus from Europe to the United States, demonstrating new experiments in minimalism. Organized by graduate students in the Corcoran Art History program's History of Exhibitions course with Prof. Lisa Lipinski, this show is an exploration into the relationship between the viewer and their emotions.
This exhibition was funded by the Frances and Leonard Burka Fund for the Arts and the Friends of the Luther W. Brady Art Gallery.
