STUDENT EMPLOYMENT
Every year, numerous students help the Luther W. Brady Art Gallery run:
Collections Assistant - Spring 2025
The Luther W. Brady Art Gallery is seeking a meticulous collections assistant to help with tasks related to a large gift that came into the GW Collection as well as other collections tasks related to the university’s art collection of 4400 objects. The tasks include a mixture of on-site work with collections and database work that could be done remotely. Graduate coursework in Museum Studies, Art History, Anthropology, or History or previous experience in a museum or archives required.
Potential Tasks:
- Obtaining non-exclusive license agreements for recently received pieces
- Rehousing works in Ashburn post-conservation
- Preparing works for class visits
- Updating collections information in database

STUDENT INTERNSHIPS
Working with staff, students gain hands on experience researching the university’s collection, writing exhibition text, and giving gallery tours.
